2010 NFL Predictions: Chicago Bears

Jay Cutler’s first season in Chicago did not go as planned. While he threw a career-high 27 touchdown strikes, he also led the league with 26 interceptions. With Cutler not playing up to his Pro Bowl status, the Bears managed only seven wins.

Following last season, it was clear that the Bears needed more upgrades. So they brought in defensive end Julius Peppers and running back Chester Taylor. They also added Mike Martz and Mike Tice to the coaching staff.

With these additions, Chicago is optimistic that it can contend for an NFC North title. That is, as long as Cutler has a bounce back year.

Offense: While Cutler took a lot of heat for Chicago’s offensive woes, he wasn’t solely to blame. His job was not easy playing behind an underachieving offensive line, and he received no help from the running game.

If Tice can get more out of the boys up front, Chicago should be able to do better than the 93.2 yards per game it gained

Dick Butkus : 1965 Draft Day Picks

Dick Butkus was born on December 9, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, and is widely known as one of the greatest football players of all time. Not only did Butkus have all of the physical skills to be a top notch player throughout his career, but he was always known as one of the smartest as well. When you put these two things together it is easy to see why Butkus was a force on the gridiron for many years.

After high school Butkus decided to take his game to the University of Illinois where he played from 1962 to 1964. During his time at Illinois Butkus quickly became known as a force to be reckoned with. From his linebacker position, Butkus was a unanimous All American selection in both 1963 and 1964. Minnesota Vikings Tickets And Seating Chart

The last game for the Minnesota Vikings was a great show of the excellence this team brings to the field. The Chicago Bears didn’t stand a change as the Minnesota Vikings scored point after point to close out the game on November 29 with a final score of 36-10. The next game against the Arizona Cardinals may prove to be just as fascinating for the Minnesota Vikings, even though they’ll be playing away from home.

There’s no question that this season started off with a bang for the Minnesota Vikings. In week 1, they defeated the Cleveland Browns with a win 34-20. The Detroit Lions met with the same result on their own field as the Minnesota Vikings beat them 27-13. In week 3, the San Francisco 49ers gave it a valiant attempt, but when the final buzzer sounded at the end of the fourth quarter, the Minnesota Vikings kept the advantage and took home a win 27-24. In game 4, the Green Bay Packers loss to the Minnesota Vikings 30-23 and game 5 against the St. Louis

Jacksonville Jaguars Tickets- Collier Remembers Shooting

If the man who shot Jacksonville Jaguars offensive linemen Richard Collier was hoping that the 14 bullets he hit him with would fog his memory, they were wrong. In a recent interview, Collier says that he remembers everything from that night, from being in front of the apartment building to being brought to the hospital by ambulance. This is bad news for alleged shooter Tyrone Romaroo Hartsfield, who recently appeared for a pretrial hearing. During the hearing, Hartsfield’s lawyer filed a motion for the addresses of Collier and other witnesses. The result was that there will be another pretrial hearing in December. Hartsfield has been charged with attempted murder as well as the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. So far, Hartsfield has pleaded not guilty to the shooting on September 2, which left Collier paralyzed from the waist down and without one of his legs.

In the same interview with Collier, he commented about remaining positive about

South Florida Banks Bear The Brunt Of The Commercial Real Estate Meltdown

Although the residential housing market is starting to show signs of recovery, South Florida’s commercial real estate is still in crisis.  Bludgeoned by empty storefronts, diminishing rent prices and difficult to obtain credit, a sizable number of South Florida commercial property owners face default on their bank loans.  Many fear that this could trigger another round of bank failures and further impede the economic recovery of the region.

Over the years, South Florida’s community banks have invested in commercial properties such as hotels, shopping centers and office space.  According to analysis conducted for the Miami Herald, Florida financial institutions have twice as many commercial loans in their portfolios as out-of-state banks.

A recent example of the commercial real estate crisis is the seizure of Chicago-based Corus Bank by federal regulators.  Corus was a major player in South Florida’s commercial real estate market and was undone

Top 2010 Fantasy Football Overvalued Players

One of the keys to winning a fantasy football league is the ability to recognize overvalued players and to ignore them. “Slumpers” are NFL players who tend to be drafted in the top 3 at their position and produce like players drafted in double-digit rounds. These players are also known as “Draft Killers”, especially if they are first or second round players. The key to winning your fantasy football league is to find players that will produce on a consistent basis. You may be able to offset one Slumper with a Sleeper, but it is better to just avoid the dead weight, if you can see any signs of a potential downfall. There are times that the signs are not present though. A perfect example of this from 2009 was Matt Forte. No one expected a drop of 300 yards and 8 total TDs from his rookie season of 2008. The 2009 Michael Turner drop-off was not a surprise since he logged 376 carries in 2008. Below is the top overvalued player by position.

NFL Lines-Discover the Secrets to Winning EVERY NFL Game

NFL betting odds and NFL lines are both one of the most profitable ways to earn a living online. It is easy to win the nfl lines, it is just first hard to understand what are all the bet types and which ones are the best. The fantasy football draft is just around the corner and if you want a winning team I suggest you also listen up here and take this article seriously.

Below are all the betting types:

The Point Spread

The most common type of NFL bet is the point spread. Point spreads are great because your team may lose, but the point spread covered them, so you actually win! Point spreads work by the nfl lines allocating points to a team where the team is a significant underdog to win. If there was no such thing has point spreads in the NFL than it would be a lopsided betting world. Point spreads aim to put the money on both sides of the bet equally, which works in sports books favors.

Indianapolis Colts Tickets – Trouble For Indy Defense

The Indianapolis Colts have to step up their wounded line of defensive players if they want to see the playoffs this year, and the team’s recent news concerning injuries of defensive players Gary Brackett and Keyunta Dawson is not what Colts fans want to hear. Indianapolis has been battling injuries throughout the season, and middle linebacker Brackett’s lower leg injury and defensive tackle Dawson’s pulled hamstring both in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Browns are adding up to be trouble in Horse country.

Brackett’s projected fibula injury required X-rays this week while Dawson’s hamstring injury was confirmed, and these injuries will likely keep them both out of next week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals and perhaps even the next games against the Detroit Lions and the Jacksonville Jaguars. With two big holes suddenly gaping in the Colts’ defense, weak-side linebacker Freddy Keiaho will replace Brackett’s position as middle
